Who is responsible
Pike and Quill Consulting Ltd is the controller of the personal data described here.
What we collect
When you ask to download software from this site we collect your name, your email address and, if you give it, your company. We also record the date and time you verify your email address and how many times your download link has been used.
Your IP address is used briefly to limit how often requests can be made, and is sent to Cloudflare Turnstile to check that you are not a bot. It is not stored in our database. Turnstile also checks signals from your browser for the same purpose.
A copy of each verified sign-up (name, email, company and date and time) is emailed to the company's Microsoft 365 mailbox and may be kept in its customer records (SharePoint).
Why we collect it
To supply the software you asked for and to keep a record of who has downloaded it.
Lawful basis
Legitimate interests: we need to know who has received our software and to send the verification link you asked for.
Updates by email
If you tick the box to receive Pike & Quill updates, such as new TRISTRA versions and blog posts, and then verify your email address, your name and email address are added to our updates list. We use them only to send those updates.
Lawful basis: your consent. You can withdraw it at any time with the unsubscribe link in any update, or by emailing enquiries@pikeandquill.co.uk. We keep you on the list until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove you, and then keep only a record that you unsubscribed, so you are not emailed again.
How long we keep it
Sign-ups you do not verify are deleted after 7 days. Verified sign-ups are deleted from this site 2 years after you verify your email address. Copies in our customer records are reviewed and deleted on the same basis.
Who processes it for us
Cloudflare hosts this site and stores the sign-up records and files. Resend sends our emails, using its EU region, and holds the updates list.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it or to delete it, and you can object to our use of it. Email enquiries@pikeandquill.co.uk. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
